THE TONEMASTERS BIOGRAPHY
Craig Dunn
(Drums/Vocals),
Julian Bailey (Double Bass/Vocals) and
John Plummer
(Guitar/ Vocals) have joined together to produce the most exciting
and professional 1950’s style Rockin’ Blues / Rock n Roll Band to
hit Europe's live music scene in recent years....(well at least in
the last 2 weeks...)
Bristol has always been a 'hotbed' for producing top quality
Bands. As Craig & Julian were founder members of 'The ToppKatz’ and
John was the founder member of 'The Firebirds', 'The Tonemasters'
are continuing to build on this excellent reputation.
The solid Rhythm section of Craig & Julian provide the perfect
back beat for John who plays his beloved Eddie Cochran style Gretsch
guitar. The lead Vocals are shared between Julian and John, with all
three members supplying backing vocals.
As well as a strong selection of original material, they also
cover some great tracks from the likes of Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran
and Brian Setzer (Stray Cats) etc, to more 'obscure' acts such as
Joe Bonamassa, Jack Earls and Johnny Burnette. 'The Tonemasters'
leave no stone unturned in bringing you the very best in Live
Rockabilly, Rock n Roll and Rockin’ Blues.
To compliment their visual and exciting stage show, 'The
Tonemasters' only use the very best on stage equipment such as
Gretsch, Ashdown, Fender, Roland, Allen & Heath, LA Audio,
Studiomaster, Tama and Bose to ensure a professional sound. They
especially refrain from using click tracks and backing tracks as
this is felt to limit the ability of the band to drop the odd note
or beat which adds the spontaneity and excitement of the show :-)
The Tonemasters will travel to any destination providing there is
plenty of cash, John Smith's extra smooth on tap and horlicks with
chocolate hob nobs for after the show!!
You will probably have noticed that the Band also has a sense of
humour
